HONOLULU (HI Now) - Raiatea Helm reunites with your Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra and conductor Michael-Thomas Foumai for an all-new program of her favorite traditional mele including “He Mele Lāhui Hawaiʻi,” “Ka Ipo Lei Manu,” and more, live at the Historic Hawaii Theatre. Her authentic “leo ki’eki’e” (Female falsetto) and ukulele playing have dazzled audiences all over the world. Still, Raiatea continues to champion mele while educating the next generation on Hawai’i’s rich history through traditional song and dance.
