HONOLULU (HI Now) - To celebrate Mahina ‘Ōlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian Language Month), the Kamehameha Schools community of Kapālama Kai has created four free educational online games that can be played on mobile devices and computers. Through quiz questions, memory games, and word unscrambles, all ages from keiki to kūpuna can learn vocabulary such as animals, colors, and foods.

Scan the QR codes on vibrant green signage located throughout the Kapālama Kai area — from the banks of the Kapālama Canal to Kalihi Street — or visit kapalamakai.com/olelo to play from your mobile device or computer. Plus, during the month of February, you can enter to win $100 gift cards from Kapālama Kai businesses including Foodland, Hawai’i Move Lab and Kikuya Japanese Restaurant.
